Provides on-going promotional support for increasing awareness of the dual enrollment program amongst high school students, their parents, counselors and teachers. Recruits students and coordinates the application/enrollment process.

Salary Range: $41,447 - $47,146

Essential Job Functions:
1. Actively promote the Dual Enrollment Program to a variety of audiences.
2. Coordinate orientation/information sessions for faculty, students, parents, counselors, and administrators.
3. Collaborate with program leader(s) in the training for advisors and support staff.
4. Provide developmental advising support to students in individual and group settings.
5. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with campus partners to promote awareness and use of services and resources that support the Dual Enrollment program and DE student success at Valencia.
6. Serve on the program team tasked to maintain for DE a database to support registration and college-wide tracking and up-to-date content on the website.
7. Collaborate with the DE team and other parties to design and implement targeted communication strategies to engage with applicants, parents, school personnel, and current DE students, via the web, telephone, virtual platforms, and print resources through the entire recruitment, application, enrollment, and program cycle.
8. Collaborate in the coordination of all operations periodic reporting associated with dual enrollment, including program enrollment, student performance, and recommendations for improvement.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.

Experience in designing and presenting workshops.

Experience working cooperatively and effectively as a member of a team.

Required License/Certification:


Preferred Education & Field of Study:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a major in psychology, education, sociology, or related field.

Preferred Type of Experience:
Experience in developmental advising.

Experience in an educational setting.

Experience in recruitment particularly student recruitment.

Preferred Licenses/Certification:


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including coherent and concise report writing.

Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and present data to improve processes and outcomes.

Knowledge of high school educational policies and graduation requirements.

Ability to work in an ever changing fast paced environment.

Skilled at working independently and as a team member with flexibility and thoroughness in the performance of duties.

General Working Conditions:
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and within the community staffed by professional and student staff members. The individual in this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, die cut machines, laminators, and fax machines. Some position responsibilities require tasks outside of the office, in either a classroom setting, programming venue, or outdoors.

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 25 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
