Description
The School of Foreign Service (SFS) at Georgetown University seeks qualified applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in security studies. The successful candidate will serve as a core faculty member of the Security Studies Program (SSP) of the SFS.
Ideal candidates will have an active research agenda in a key aspect of security studies. Disciplinary specialization is open, and includes international relations, political science, history, economics, and public policy. Area of expertise is also open, and includes topics such as great-power politics, strategic studies, technology and security, military history, and the economics of security. Competitive candidates will have a Ph.D. in international security or a related field, and be prepared to teach core security courses as well as more specialized courses in their areas of expertise.

The projected salary range for this position is $103,678 - $115,281, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
