Responsibilities:

The Dir-Graduate Operations serves an integral role in the growth of enrollments within the College of Computer and Information Science Masters of Computer Science ALIGN Program. The ALIGN Program enables intellectually curious students to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) without a background in computing or information technology. Regardless of undergraduate major or current experience, ALIGN's custom curricula prepares students for the high demands of the industryand provides an alternative path to success. The college aims to use this program to increase participation by women and underrepresented minorities in the computing field. Recruiters will be focused on this goal as part of achieving the college's mission to increase diversity in technical professions.

The primary responsibility for this role is to design, implement and analyze an effective recruitment strategy within a target audience for the ALIGN program at our Boston, Charlotte, Silicon Valley, and Seattle location. The Admission Recruiter's recruitment strategy will include travel (locally, nationally and globally) and eRecruitment initiatives designed to attract and subsequently enroll professional students in line with university priorities. The Admission Recruiter will be responsible for strategically planning and executing online webinars, open houses, informational session and various lead generation events for the University. Additionally, the Admissions Recruiter will maintain recruitment information in the College's CRM, application and marketing automation systems in order to track metrics related to the enrollment lifecycle, ensure that all events and leads are being recorded, and analyze recruitment data to determine the effectiveness of specific events and activities.

This role also serves as an application evaluation capacity, as needed, during peak cycles. Applications should be read using specified evaluation policies and procedures. Further responsibilities include reviewing admissions applications independently and, in collaboration with the Associate Dean and Admission Coordinator, make admissions decisions.

S/he actively and positively contributes to the office welfare by working collaboratively with staff in all units to achieve institutional enrollment goals, including marketing, operations, and academic advising. The Admissions Recruiter will also be responsible for coordinating and managing projects in addition to other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, who strives to meet goals, enjoys meeting and attracting prospective students to Northeastern, and actively and positively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

As the primary administrative contact for all graduate-related matters, person communicates with prospective, new, and current graduate students in person, on the telephone, as well as electronically. He/she serves as liaison between the Graduate School and all University offices that handle matters pertaining to graduate students.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree. Six to eight years of professional experience in recruitment, sales, project management and/or higher education is required. The individual in this position must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have outstanding communication, organizational and relationship-building skills. Familiarity with CRM systems is preferred. This person must have the ability to work independently, as well as with teams of colleagues, and possess the aptitude for detail-oriented tasks. Must have strong time management skills and have the ability to prioritize and balance responsibilities. The individual in this position must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, and willingness to travel on a frequent basis is necessary.
