Job Summary
This position is centered around research in bipolar disorder at the University of Michigan. The successful applicant will participate in several aspects of the research process and in several projects that engage android programming within a larger program involving clinical and basic science research. The position will be filled at either the Associate or Intermediate level, depending on background and experience.

Responsibilities*
We are searching for an Android developer with experience working with AWS Lambda/DynamoDB and Google Authentication/Firebase. This person will be responsible for the development of an Android application and its backend, test automation and other strategic activities. The person will support all activities required in successful delivery of the mobile app and its backend.

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information, biostatistics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of services, Restful APIs and mobile framework
  • Experience in latest Android technologies and trends
  • Experience in Android backend service

Desired Qualifications*
  • Minimum of 4 years of native Android application development
  • Minimum of 2 years of working with AWS services.
  • Android dev design pattern knowledge
  • Experience in AWS performance tuning
  • Expert in native Android application development
  • Adequate Node.js/AWS Lambda/DynamoDB knowledge
