Position Summary:
The University Honors Program Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing program support under the direct supervision of the program's Director for the program's staff, teaching faculty, the Distinguished Scholarships Program, and students. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to budget, finance, and travel; admission, recruitment, enrollment, and scholarship making; curricular and extracurricular programming and planning; development and maintenance of program and student records, data bases, and files; collection and analysis of program assessment data, collection and analysis of National Merit Scholar and other scholarship data; providing program support for the Distinguished Scholarships Program coordinator; assisting with the work of the Program Committee; managing support for three Honors Societies; arranging meetings and organizing and implementing all aspects of events for the program; ensuring program compliance with university policies and procedures and serving as the liaison with other units across campus, including the Registrar's Office, the Financial Aid Office, Admissions, Housing and Residence Life, University Foundation, and Colleges; supervising work-study students, maintaining the program web pages and social media platforms; as well as responding to students and parents inquiries via phone and email. This position provides assistance to the Director of the University Honors Program and must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and must be professional, confident, and demonstrate good judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Experience with interpreting and applying regulations or policies and procedures.
- Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating special projects.
- Experience independently researching, compiling, developing and summarizing material for reports.
- Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives and developing recommendations.
- Experience using work processing, spreadsheet and email software.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree or 5 years of related experience.
- Experience entering and retrieving data using computerized record systems.
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Demonstrated competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working in higher education.
- Familiarity with web-authoring to update/edit basic information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
- Knowledge of the University of Idaho policies, regulations and administrative practices.
- Basic knowledge of procedures for undergraduate admission, registration, financial aid processing, and general education core curriculum requirements.
- Experience and discretion in handling confidential materials and knowledge of FERPA.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Some nights and weekends may be required depending on events and/or recruitment activities.
