Advancement Information Services (AIS) is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Applications Developer. The Applications Developer's primary responsibility will be to focus on ensuring the development of quality software using best practice architecture, coding practice and development processes on a day- to -day basis. The Applications Developer will work mainly with Salesforce proprietary languages (Apex, Visual Force, Lightning, etc.), but will also work with Microsoft.NET languages as well as several different front-end scripting and markup languages.
This position reports to the Senior AIS Applications Developer, and coordinates with analysts and end-users to determine functional requirements and create new applications across various systems. Additionally, the applications Developer provides maintenance and updates to existing applications as needed. The Applications Developer will also partner with cross-functional teams to establish and support the application development and test environments. To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent related work experience, along with an initiative for continuing studies and coursework.

The candidate must also have a minimum of two years experience with integrating with and developing Salesforce.com applications. This includes developing using the Apex programing language, creating workflows and formulas, and is familiar with Salesforce.com administration.

The candidate must have experience with current available toolsets and developer methodologies.
The candidate must have at least three years experience with at least two of the following technologies: RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) (sql, pl/sql, t-sql,), Banner (Student, Finance, AR or Advancement), Object Oriented Programming Language (Java, C#), Scripting Languages (Perl, korn shell, c-shell, python), Web Applications experience (http/https), Web Services, CastIron or other Integration Platform experience, or SQR.

Ideal candidate has demonstrated ability to work well directly with customers and teams in a large environment. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and activities.

The candidate must be a creative problem solver who can adapt to changes in real time.
