Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to teach, advise, train and supervise communication disorders students to become SLPs. It will also enable the program to maintain accreditation by the Council for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Earned doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Science or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience and CCC-SLP or eligibility for North Carolina Licensure.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required areas of emphasis include but are not limited to the following: dysphagia, voice disorders, motor speech disorders, neurogenic communication disorders, autism, literacy, and early intervention. Must be aware of current trends of the profession and have knowledge of developmental disabilities, neurogenic disorders and disabilities across the life span. Applicants across relevant areas of expertise with competitive research and teaching records are encouraged to apply. Capacity for achieving extramural support and teaching/clinical experience is desirable.
