Job Summary
Business Analysis (65%): Elicit, document, analyze, and validate business requirements from business partners. Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection processes, regulatory requirements, and reporting requirements to translate business requirements into data/technical specifications. Analyze current state, conceive the desired future state and identify projects needed to successfully implement future goals. Work with business process owners to develop key measures that define business unit metrics. Ask the right questions and ead between the lines when gathering user requirements to determine what is truly needed rather than just what is explicitly communicated. System Improvement and Consulting (25%): Recommend practices and procedures that focus on business outcomes, enhanced usability, and increased productivity. Collect and analyze strategic business requirements, develop strategies to address needs, and convey those to the TechSolutions team. Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. Design and coordinate pilots and testing scenarios to test and validate applications, functions, and processes to determine the effectiveness of proposed solutions. Provide recommendations to the TechSolutions team during the solution development stage to meet the partner's business needs. Project Management (10%): Coordinate development and implementation activities, including performing some out-of-the-box application or workflow development as appropriate. Develop and utilize current UX design and development principles in these initiatives. Collaborate with unit partners to develop and execute test plans to ensure that a product or system meets design specifications, security, and other requirements. Manage and prioritize solution change requests.

Required Qualifications*
Two years of previous business analyst experience developing detailed business & functional requirements and workflows and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand unfamiliar business processes and perform root cause analysis to identify problems and opportunities. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards. Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true user needs. Demonstrated ability to learn new software, understand technical information, and communicate it to others using clear, concise, and user-friendly language. Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of independence and to take initiative while remaining a strong team player. Demonstrated ability to communicate and distill technical concepts into simple language.

Desired Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration and at least two years of previous business analyst experience developing detailed business & functional requirements and workflows, conducting User Acceptance and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Working knowledge and understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) platforms like SalesForce. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other common web development tools. Proficiency in project management functions. Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, including Business Objects and Tableau. Familiarity with Structured Query Language and report writing skills. Experience with Sharepoint and workflow development.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Position is expected to last up to one year and starts ASAP.

Additional Information
Position pays at least $25/hr depending on skills and experience.
