Essential Functions:
The School of Business at North Carolina Central University invites applications for a 10-month tenure-track position as Chair of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Administration. The department, one of five departments within the School of Business, consists of approximately 5-7 permanent and part-time faculty, and approximately 75 majors. This position is available to begin July 1, 2019.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Applicants should have a doctoral or equivalent terminal degree in Hospitality Management, or other relevant discipline from a regionally accredited university, which is also accredited by AACSB or ACHPA. Additionally, the applicant should have significant leadership experience with ACPHA accreditation. Significant industry and prior teaching/leadership experience is required. Applicants should have a record of peer-reviewed, scholarly publications and significant and relevant industry-oriented publications/engagement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, effective understanding of the academic discipline, and experience with online instruction. Other minimum requirements include a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to develop productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
