Responsibilities:
The Executive Director, Data Stewardship, Analytics, and Gift Administration reports to the Vice President of Advancement Resources (VP) and will serve as an exceptional partner to the VP, assisting with leading day-to-day operations in support of fundraising and alumni relations efforts.

The Executive Director will establish and lead a controlled data management environment through governance planning, prioritization, oversight, training and monitoring of data quality. They will ensure data integrity is upheld, develop and deliver processes that identify, analyze, report, and address data quality, and develop and implement new data policies as needed. Further, the Executive Director will be responsible for leading all data strategy functions for Advancement, including serving as the Data Steward for Advancement and representing Advancement in campus data governance efforts as a subject matter expert.

The Executive Director will ensure that the Analytics team provides robust campaign performance analytics, market and customer trend studies, web analytics, and behavior analysis, both ongoing and ad-hoc, to support the strategic objectives of University Advancement. The will develop models and reports for analysis and work with the VP to develop and improve prospect trend analytics to inform and improve portfolio management. They will carry out predictive modeling methodologies and participate in the engineering of new analytics solutions. They will serve as an expert user of data analytic tools and provide business and technical expertise for analytics processes, tools, and applications across the division.

The Executive Director will oversee all administrative functions for gift processing including official legal documentation in support of our 501(c)(3), tax filings, and financial reconciliation functions with the Office of Finance. They will research, recommend, and implement state-of-the-art solutions, develop strategic plans, and oversee the installation, implementation, and continual development of systems for gift processing. They will oversee compliance with government regulations and reporting standards for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and Voluntary Support of Education (VSE) and work with departments on the acceptance of gifts, including review of special gifts and pledge agreements.

The Executive Director is responsible for the management and leadership of a collaborative team of professionals. They will oversee project planning and work with staff of all levels to effectively manage projects to successful outcomes. The Executive Director is an experienced professional who demonstrates strong leadership skills to accomplish ambitious goals and must confidently make decisions and guide their team.

Qualifications:
- Experience and demonstrated ability to direct a large, comprehensive, sophisticated, and dynamic operation; minimum of 10 years of direct or related experience
- Bachelor's degree required; masters preferred
- Significant leadership and management experience and a track record of success in a fast-moving and innovative environment
- Ability to think and plan strategically
- Deep knowledge of data management and governance.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with data modeling and reporting; ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel and end-users
- Strong understanding of gift reporting standards and related government regulations
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects
- Capacity to develop strong and effective relationships with internal and external colleagues and staff
- A commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and excellence
- Strong decision-making skills
