Job Details

Under the direction of the Psychology Department FAO, administers and coordinates fiscal budgeting and administration enabling the Department of Psychology to maintain fiscal integrity and internal controls. Perform high-level budget/resource analyses and prepare monthly financial reports for faculty. Track and reconcile expenses for intramural and extramurally funded programs and initiatives. Maintain strong internal controls. Respond to changing needs for financial reports and ad hoc information to faculty, chairperson, and administration. Prepare budgets and coordinate submission of intramural and extramural contract and grant proposals for multiple agencies. Process, track, and reconcile department appointments and payroll. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organizes, and performs basic financial analysis assignments.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
