Salary: $44,200 - $65,700

Position Information:
The Financial Service Analyst will provide financial and analytical support for the Department of Agricultural Operations. Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, works in partnership with the Administrative team, applying professional financial services concepts in support of the financial operations of Agricultural Operations Services. This role requires the incumbent to work collaboratively and contribute to the administrative team in support of the department. Financial services also include the Sales and Service component for Field, Greenhouse, Pesticide, Soil Mixing Operations, and Recharges monthly and at end of year. They are responsible for ledger reconciliation, billing, monthly financial reports, annual fiscal closing process, pro-card transfers, encumbrance reports, data updates and other general accounting tasks. The incumbent with manage and audit all records for compliance and reporting needs for the Agricultural Operations program.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

2 - 4 years of related experience.

Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Skills to provide coaching and mentoring to support staff.
Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform financial analysis assignments.
Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of the UCRFS financial system.

Demonstrated knowledge of the policies/ procedures for Sales and Service.

Demonstrated knowledge of pre-award and post-award contracts and grants.

Demonstrated knowledge of Fiscal Year End Closing.
