About the Position:
The department of Housing and Residential Engagement provides residence hall and apartment style living for approximately 2,000 students that is safe, clean and very convenient. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Housing Assignments and Access Coordinator (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Exempt I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Administration and Conference Services and in coordination with the Senior Administrative Analyst, the Housing Assignments and Access Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the day to day operation of a 12-month housing operation. Specific areas of assistance and coordination of the business operations of the department including: academic year and summer housing assignments/occupancy, license agreement, room changes, temporary/emergency housing, early arrival and late stay requests, as well as key and access processes (software management system support, daily report generation in regards to lock system usage, lock system troubleshooting, coordination of master access and temporary access needs, and issuing, auditing and replacing of metal keys). Maintains files, processes documents and records, gathers, researches, and analyzes data, and interacts with and solves problems for department customers and staff. Serves as a member of the Housing and Residential Engagement professional staff and represents the department on campus-side committees, initiatives, etc. Other duties as assigned.



Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.
Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
