Men's Basketball Operations

Position Summary
The Men's Basketball Operations' primary duties are managing the day-to day operations of University of the Incarnate Word Men's Basketball team and provides administrative support for all events and activities of the program. The Men's Basketball Operations' will maintain appropriate equipment inventories for men's basketball; monitor and coordinate all recruiting coordination functions to include official and unofficial visits; coordinate logistics for events, including: paperwork, compliance, itineraries, meetings, lodging, food, transportation, location, etc.; serve as the academic liaison for compliance and admission procedures; and assisting with summer camps. This position will perform other duties as assigned by Head Men's Basketball Coach.

This position is considered a Responsible Employee under University of the Incarnate Word's Sexual Misconduct Policy with reporting responsibilities as set out in the policy.

Description of Job Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the administration of all phases of a competitive basketball program in accordance with the University of the Incarnate Word, Southland Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating team travel, purchasing inventory, equipment and apparel, overseeing basketball budget, preparing facility on practice and game days, assisting with marketing, promotions, and community service events, assisting with camp organization, assisting with oversight of student-athlete academic progress, and any other duties assigned by the head coach and/or athletic director.

-Excellent oral, written communication, and organizational skills.
-Ability to anticipate needs and provide solutions.
-Follow the mission of the university.
-Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. -Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelors degree

Required Work Experience
One year of high school or college coaching experience and/or working within college athletics administration. Experience with Microsoft Office.

Work Hours
Ability to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift equipment, tools and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
