Responsibilities*
The Flint Department of Public Health and Health Sciences is looking for a LEO Lecturer I to teach PHS-500 Social Detriments of Health for Winter 2020. Days and times of course are to be determined. The estimated salary for this 3 credit course is $4,937.50.

This job entails:
  • Teach one 3-credit course in Social Determinants of Health
  • Work with graduate students in delivering course instructions in classroom and/or online settings

Note: This appointment is for Winter 2020 (January-April)

Required Qualifications*
1) Doctorate degree in related field

2) Demonstrated leadership in an areas related to social justice and its impact in health and health inequalities

3) Demonstrated completion of coursework or certification in the following areas:

- Social Determinants of Health- Diversity, equity and inclusion- Unconscious Bias- Disability Awareness and Etiquette- Health Equity through Diversity

Desired Qualifications*
Experience in university level instruction

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
