SUMMARY:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform customer service activities and a variety of bindery and print shop activities to support printing operations; maintain records of purchase orders for books that are printed on campus; maintain supplies at appropriate levels for teachers and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operate and maintain a variety of pre-print, printing and bindery equipment including high-volume computerized digital copiers, stapler/stitcher, three-hole punch, electronic cutter, spiral, tape and velo binders, folding and padding machines.

Assist in the production of instructional materials.

Maintain computerized records of purchase orders for books that are printed on campus.

Maintain campus office supplies utilizing computerized inventory system; determine supply items
needed and recommend for purchase; assure adequate office supply levels in service supply area.

Coordinate the production of printing jobs to ensure timely completion.

Receive completed printing jobs from operators; route to appropriate area for completion,
(e.g. three-hole punch machine, cutter, binder, collator, stapler or folding machine).

Maintain departmental area(s) in a safe, clean and orderly condition; assure compliance with established safety procedures and regulations.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Train and provide work direction to student workers.

Perform related duties as assigned.
