Part time Team Cleaning Specialist

Position Summary:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Building Manager and/or Custodial Foreperson, Team Cleaning Specialists maintain hygienically clean and orderly facilities for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Team Cleaning Specialists secure buildings, invite customer input on cleaning needs, respond to special cleaning requests, and schedule cleaning and maintenance activities as part of a self-directed work team. Team Cleaning Specialists will be trained to perform all of the following functions: light duty specialist, vacuuming specialist, restroom specialist, and utility specialist.

Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to: perform duties associated with commercial cleaning, including operating industrial-type cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffers and vacuum cleaners; cleaning restrooms, bath facilities, locker rooms, swimming pools, and/or similar facilities; moving heavy items such as tables, chairs, and bleachers; repairing the equipment and related devices operated in cleaning.
Ability to work: Weekend shifts for weekend events in any of the designated buildings (i.e. Kibbie Dome, Commons, TLC, Pitman Center, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working around students; custodial and/or commercial experience; demonstrated dependability; ability to work as part of a team and cooperate with others
Any experience that indicates a skill level necessary to perform any of the assigned custodial tasks
Demonstrated reliability/dependability through work history, school, or references
Demonstrated attitude toward customer satisfaction and continuous quality service improvement
Experience in working in a team-cleaning environment
Valid drivers license

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry and/or otherwise move items weighing up to approximately 60 pounds; and move continuously throughout the shift. Some positions may require climbing and working from ladders.
