Responsibilities:

The division of Information Technology Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of QA Engineer. The QA engineer will be responsible for the quality of multiple websites and mobile applications that ITS supports. The idea candidate will participate in the build of the required test infrastructure, tools and coverage to ensure the release of top quality websites and mobile apps. The QA engineer will review business and technical requirements and provide feedbacks, collaborate with development team to ensure the product meets functional, quality, performance, scalability, privacy, and security requirements through tools, automation and breakthrough test technologies. The QA engineer will write test plan and test cases, perform manual and automated test suites for web/browser as well as mobile-based environment, perform web accessibility testing using tools and platform that the university is engaged with. The candidate will also create test metrics and reporting, document and communicate test results, support analysis of test results and resolution of open issues, as well as report progress on problem resolution to management.

To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
7+ years or more of experience in the software QA industry
5+ years of experience in web and mobile space
2+ years of automation experience using Selenium or other automation tools
Familiar with QA Lifecycle Testing (Functional/Performance/Stress)
Knowledge of accessibility compliance and experience with ADA testing
Knowledge of content management tools such as WordPress, Liferay, Drupal is a plus
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience with QA tools and techniques, and bug tracking systems
Experience documenting test plans and test cases
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be able to handle multiple projects and prioritize work based on business priority
