Job Description

Reporting to the AVP for Budget Services, the primary responsibilities for this position will be the collection, integration and analysis of data from various sources, validation of these data, and financial reporting for CSN administration, institutional faculty and staff, System Administration, Legislative Counsel Bureau and other constituents, as necessary. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Analyze, interpret, and transform complex financial data into meaningful reports;
  • Collaborate with departments on specialized accreditation responses, budget requests for new degree and certificate programs, and other required financial reporting;
  • Identify and communicate budget related issues and recommended solutions;
  • Verify and validate data in the existing Workday financial system;
  • Convert and validate budget data for the implementation of the new budget and planning module;
  • Identify and document new or make improvements to existing budget processes;
  • Research and gather appropriate data to prepare ad-hoc responses to internal and external entities, as necessary.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Business or Finance related or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-4 years of comparable professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience working in financial ERP systems, such as Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in relational database environment, such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem solving skills with the ability to elicit, organize and translate data.
  • Excellent organizational skills under time sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to work well in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of management and across functions.
  • Self-directed with an ability to identify opportunities to improve budget processes.
