Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor/Director of the Information Technology Minor and Certificate program in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. This non-tenure track position is for the 2019-2020 academic year, and is a two year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit.

Review of applications will be on a rolling basis, with all applications received by April 15, 2019 receiving the fullest consideration. The application process will remain open until the position is filled.

The successful candidate will have a passion for inspiring and fostering critical thinking and active learning in undergraduate student populations, and for guiding and engaging students across various disciplines in mastering technological literacy.

In addition to offering the Information Technology Minor and Certificate program, the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering offers three bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering (two programs are ABET-accredited), three Master of Science degrees (Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Systems) and a Computer Science Minor.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Masters degree or higher, in an area blending technology with business and/or education, such as in the disciplines of Information Systems, Business Technology, Educational Technology, Technology Leadership, or a related area.

Relevant industry experience in the business and/or technology fields. Three years of teaching experience in higher education.

Experience with the most current versions of MS Office suite. Intermediate experience in coding HTML and CSS.

Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate experience coding in a high-level programming language. Supervisory experience.
