Systems Analyst (FT) – Information Technology

Effective immediately: (FT) Systems Analyst (SIS) in Wilmington University's Information Technology Department – New Castle.

Requirements: Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or a degree in an area relating to computer science, internet technology, or application development. The candidate must have a certificate in a related field or equivalent experience (portfolio required). The candidate must have excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations. Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and business processes a plus. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.

The candidate must have:
Project management skills; including time management, initiating, and implementing tasks and client follow-up.
Knowledge of university functions, and the relatedness between the different departments (the interworking).
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues between code and database, in terms of business processes defined.
Ability to set and change priorities amongst multiple competing constituencies, projects and resources.
Must be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, and be able to understand business requirements quickly.
Ability to manage time constraints and deadlines.

Experience:
The candidate must have 2+ years of demonstrated successful implementations, maintenance supporting Ellucian Banner ERP (or equivalent information systems) for higher education (college/university) clients.
The candidate must have 2+ years of application experience with Microsoft T-SQL, Oracle PL*SQL, or equivalent Structured Query Language (SQL).
Knowledge of or demonstrated maintenance supporting Dynamics CRM (or equivalent customer relationship management systems) for higher education (college/university) clients.
Knowledge of DBMS management, web servers, scripting, workflow systems, connected system architecture, and Cloud technologies (Hosted or SaaS).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Consults with end users to understand business processes and to assist them in becoming more efficient and effective utilizing the Banner ERP system, and connecting integrated systems.
2. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions within Banner and other connected systems.
3. Troubleshoots errors and issues encountered by end users and provides resolution to solve issue to client's satisfaction.
4. Assists end users with identifying data integration points and functional dependencies within the Banner ERP system and to third-party systems.
5. Updates ticket tracking database with pertinent information until resolution.
6. Develop and maintain documentation regarding configuration, business processes, and rules.
7. Other duties which may be assigned by the Sr. Director of Information Systems.

Hours of Employment: Monday – Friday - General work hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (candidate must be flexible with their hours and/or schedule to meet the needs of the department and/or the University). Weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays may be necessary as workloads dictate. This position must be reachable at all times in the event system problems occur during non-business hours. Position will be part of a regular on-call process (2-3 weeks per year).
