TCE Evaluator I

Location: Online / Remote

Provides outstanding service to APUS students by assessing the learning outcomes and program applicability of previously earned coursework, certifications, and military experience. Assists TCE Management with the implementation of TCE policy and procedures, and participates in departmental development.

Essential Functions:
  • Evaluates students' previous education and experience based on current APUS policies and procedures
    • Completes Document Level Evaluations to include but not limited to academic transcripts, exams, certificates of completion, and military documents according to corporate Service Level Agreements
    • Completes Full File Evaluations (initial, update, program change, program update, readmission, new program, certificates, and minors) including all applicable documents in each file
  • Maintains target Quality Assurance Percentage and Production Goals as established by Transfer Credit Management
  • Assists in the research and implementation of TCE policies and procedures based on Standards of Good Practice
  • Participates and assists with projects as assigned in order to further develop and improve TCE processes and resources
  • Contributes to the continued improvement of the TCE Department through active participation in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Other duties as presented, to support our students and staff


Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Virtual office environment - employee must have a dedicated work space at a permanent, private location
    • Frequent virtual departmental meetings utilizing webcam and screen-sharing technology
  • High-speed, secured Internet connection required (not provided by APUS)
  • Position requires a consistent weekly schedule with typical office hours. This environment is not conducive to an evening/weekend schedule

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required
  • Teleworking experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
