Position Information:
UC Riverside Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is searching for a Lead Systems Architect. The successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to be involved in a host of really exciting projects including being involved in our cloud strategy, designing new standards as part of our datacenter consolidation and hardware refresh. Demonstrated experience architecting technical solutions on a cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure. Required

May require advanced knowledge of data storage, processing analysis and visualization technologies and how they are used in administrative and/or academic endeavors at a large, top-tier research university or medical center. Understanding of and experience with key modeling and description languages used to map complex business processes to architectural components, develop common data resource architectures, and create reference frameworks. Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Expertise relating to the design and development of software across the organization. Demonstrated ability to design systems solutions for the public cloud (Amazon Web Services or Azure). Understanding of current trends in systems design. Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues. Demonstrated ability to design systems standards. Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
