Job Description
Digital Learning is seeking a technically adept and visionary Director of Marketing Technology (MarTech Director) to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our MarTech ecosystem. This role is integral to driving the alignment of advanced technology solutions in support of developed marketing strategies, ensuring scalable, seamless integration of technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a technology-first leader with deep expertise in MarTech strategies, architectures, system integrations, data analytics, and emerging technologies. This position reports to the Executive Director of Solutions Engineering and partners with the Marketing team to align technology solutions with marketing goals.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy and Innovation:
- Architect and execute a robust marketing technology roadmap, aligning advanced tools and platforms with overarching divisional objectives.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven tools, predictive analytics, and machine learning, to support marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Identify emerging MarTech technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- MarTech Ecosystem Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of the MarTech stack, encompassing CRM, CDPs, CMS, marketing automation, analytics platforms, and personalization engines.
- Ensure seamless API-driven integrations between MarTech platforms and core enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data warehouses).
- Lead the development of scalable solutions, in partnership with marketing, for omnichannel prospect engagement, data capture, and journey tracking.
- Data Architecture:
- Design and maintain a secure, scalable data infrastructure to support real-time analytics and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to develop and manage customer data platforms (CDPs), ensuring a full view of customer insights and interactions.
- Implement advanced reporting systems and dashboards, leveraging tools like Power BI and Looker to support marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Team Development and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of MarTech professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Act as a liason and strategic partner to Marketing leadership, ensuring that technology solutions directly align with and enhance Marketing objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with creative, IT, and marketing teams to ensure smooth project execution and technology adoption.
- Provide training and support to marketing teams to maximize MarTech adoption and utilization.
- Integration and Optimization:
- Ensure seamless integration between marketing tools, university systems, and customer data warehouses.
- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on technical projects.
- Drive A/B testing, personalization, and optimization efforts to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Drive process automation across campaign management, lead generation, and custom segmentation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in marketing technology or related technical fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of MarTech platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, and similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of data management, customer data platforms (CDPs), and marketing analytics.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, balancing strategic vision with hands-on problem solving.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on KPIs and ROI.
- Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies is a plus.

- Experience: Progressively responsible experience leading marketing technology or similar work in higher education and experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies
