Salary Range: $ 44,389 - $ 49,938 per year

Essential Job Functions:
1. Coordinates all scheduling, activities and workflow of the campus Assessment Office to ensure optimum coverage for student service.
2. Oversees and coordinates the administration of assessment programs and administers assessment instruments.
3. Supervises, coaches, and evaluates Assessment Office staff.
4. Mediates in difficult situations and makes decisions about problem resolutions.
5. Monitors changes to assessment programs and related regulations, and participates in making appropriate revisions to policies, procedures, and systems.
6. Collaborates with other departments to assess needs and make system improvements.
7. Provides students with clear information about assessments, testing eligibility requirements and policies.
8. Maintains security of assessments and ensures integrity of test administrations.
9. Coordinates campus assessment reports.
10. Ensures that technological resources are used to generate meaningful information and increase efficiency.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
12. Adheres to CLEP requirements to proctor exams if employed at an West, East and Osceola Assessment Centers.


Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.

Other Required Qualifications:
Applicable only to East, West and Osceola Testing Centers: This position will work with College Level Examination Program (CLEP) testing and software. Undergraduate students are not eligible to apply per the College Board's CLEP iBT Administrator's Handbook. If at anytime they become an undergraduate student, they cannot remain in their position.

This position requires working with Valencia faculty exams; current Valencia students are not eligible to apply. If at anytime they become a Valencia student, they cannot remain in their position.

Required License/Certification:
Must be able to complete required certification(s) to be able to proctor exams within the Testing and Assessment Center within 20 business days from date of hire.

Preferred Education & Field of Study:


Preferred Type of Experience:
Experience working with students in an educational setting.
Higher education experience.
Experience coordinating general office functions and directing the work of others.

Preferred Licenses/Certification:


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of assessment programs such as placement testing (i.e. CPT, PERT) and/or skills/abilities testing (i.e. CJBAT, TEAS) and ability to maintain the security of said programs.

Skill in effectively communicating interpersonally, orally, and in writing.

Skill in the use of personal computers and relevant software, with the ability to take full advantage of technological resources.

Skill in reading technical information and applying knowledge.

Ability to provide excellent customer service and respond to difficult people and situations with tact and diplomacy.

Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others in a variety of situations.

Ability to supervise and provide leadership to full and part time staff.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and working under pressure.

General Working Conditions:
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
