Position Description
Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.
Major/Essential Functions
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the On Track Champion Program, including supervision, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of assigned staff.
- Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the On Track Champion Program, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and student needs.
- Leads the development and implementation of the early intervention strategy, including processes to support assigned student populations through targeted interventions and outreach.
- Oversees the ongoing integration and use of Raider Success Hub (Salesforce) to support case management, early alerts, and tracking of student interventions.
- Builds and sustains partnerships across the university, including Academic Colleges, to promote the program and develop collaborative solutions to student barriers.
- Coordinates intentionally with departments that provide individualized student support to ensure alignment of efforts, avoid duplication, and create a unified student experience.
- Maintains awareness of emerging research and national best practices in student success, especially related to first-year experience, transition support, and academic recovery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field.
- At least four (4) years of professional experience supporting student success, academic advising, or student development, including work with First-Year, Transfer, First-Generation, or academically at-risk students.
- At least two (2) years of experience supervising professional or graduate-level staff.
- Experience designing and facilitating training, professional development, or curriculum for student support initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to assess program impact, guide decision-making, and communicate outcomes.
- Experience building new initiatives or programs from the ground up - moving from concept to full implementation.
