Job Summary

The Assistant Clinical Placement Coordinator will collaborate with the School of Nursing (SON) Clinical Placement Coordinator to maintain community partnerships with clinical agencies and assist faculty and students with preparation for clinical sites to include obtaining needed sites and submitting clinical requirements for agencies.



Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with SON course faculty and Clinical Placement Coordinator regarding clinical placement needs.
  • Maintains active agency contract list each semester and correspondence with all clinical sites in the BSN program.
  • Collaborates with university's state authorization officer to determine if student is eligible for approval for placement in selected state and agency.
  • Assists Clinical Placement Coordinator in completing state authorization requirements each semester and an annual report for students completing clinicals outside of Georgia.
  • Reviews and approves individual student immunization records, background checks, drug screens, BLS cards, etc. submitted to ACEMAPP.
  • Assists Clinical Placement Coordinator with entering clinical schedules into ACEMAPP and/or creating a calendar list of assigned students and faculty per clinical site.
  • Maintains clinical clearance records on students and clinical faculty in ACEMAPP. Submits them to clinical agencies, including BLS verification, health clearances, background checks, drug screens, and resumes that may be required.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Clinical Placement Coordinator.



Required Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred (associate or diploma RN will be considered).
  • Unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of current or recent (within the last year) clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  • Current knowledge of nursing practice at the registered nurse level in Georgia.



Proposed Salary

$24/hourly.

Conditions of Employment

  • A credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage;
  • Pre-employment drug testing for positions with high-risk responsibilities.
  • Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive a Columbus State University fleet vehicle or other vehicle designated as a fleet vehicle. A successful drug screening will be required as a condition of employment a randomly thereafter.
