Job Summary


Aerospace Mechanics Research Center (AMReC) is seeking a PostDoctoral Associate. This position involves coordination with AMReC faculty on the development of existing and new algorithms for massively parallel in situ data analytics. The successful applicant's research activity will also be accelerated by regular interaction with Ph.D. students thereby providing an opportunity to develop research leadership skills.

Who We Are


A collaborative group within the Aerospace Mechanics Research Center at University of Colorado Boulder carries out sponsored research on a variety of data analytics projects.


What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


The successful candidate will carry out research in support of projects related to a variety of data analytics projects, including but not limited to data compression, adjoint sensitivity, and machine learning.

The starting salary range for this position is $63,000-$64,000 annually.

What We Require


A Ph.D. related to computational science is required. Note: this is not necessarily a computer science degree and could also be an engineering degree or even an applied math Ph.D, so long as that Ph.D developed strong computational science skills.


What You Will Need


Candidate will need experience to carry out research in data analytics including but not limited to data compression, adjoint sensitivity, and machine learning. Advanced experience in finite element methods, fluid dynamics, and turbulence modeling is essential. Coding and related computational science experience in these topics is also essential.
