The College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking applicants for one full-time, 12-month non-tenured faculty appointment at the Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor level to serve as Faculty of the developing hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. This accelerated two-year OTD program is a blend of online and on-campus activities, which allows the faculty member to live remote to the BGSU campus. However, OTD faculty members must be able to travel and stay in northwest Ohio for designated time periods each semester.

Essential Functions
The expectations for teaching effectiveness, scholarship/professional activities, and service are as follows:
- Teaches courses as agreed upon with the Program Director
- Enhances current teaching and mentoring activities for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
- Develops a scholarly agenda
- Participates in university, community, and professional service appropriate to a university faculty member
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Occupational Therapy Profession
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill expertise in the areas of assigned teaching
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both written and orally, both online and in-person
- Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty, and staff
- Advise OTD students
- Demonstrates the ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrates the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., DSc, Ed.D, etc.) or a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in Ohio
- A scholarship agenda, or evidence of peer reviewed publications/technical reports/grants, or presentations, which may include scholarship of teaching and learning.
- Prior experience teaching mental health content in an occupational therapy program or a minimum of two years of documented clinical practice in a mental health setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal academic doctorate (PhD, DSc, EdD, etc.)
- Advanced certification credentials appropriate for their teaching responsibilities.
- Experience teaching online and hybrid courses
- Excellent communication skills and strong computer skills to meet the needs of our online didactic instructional format
- Team-oriented and willing to collaborate and share instructional methods and student-learning activities
- Appreciation of evidence-based teaching, integration of technology within the classroom and building a student-centered community within the online classroom
- Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting didactic and clinical education, students, and the profession of occupational therapy.
