The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide services and protection for College properties, interests, students, faculty, supportive staff & guests.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB).
- An AA and/or BS Degree in Criminal Justice or other related fields preferred.
- Experience
- Must be a sworn Illinois certified Police Officer and have left his/her prior police department/agency in good standing' within the 365 days of the College hiring date.
- 1 to 5 years experience in law enforcement or related field preferred.
- Experience with a College campus environment preferred.
- COD Training
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Hazardous Communications
Working Conditions:
Hiring Range:
/Per contract, Up to step 3 on the wage scale
Good review of past performance is required.
No written exam required
Power Card must be presented at the time of offer and valid within the last year
