Job Summary
Columbus State University, a Division II member of the Peach Belt Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant - Athletic Operations. This position will assist the Director of Athletics and CSU Athletic Administrators in performing duties in compliance with all NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, and Columbus State University rules and regulations. This position involves assisting the Athletic Department administrative staff with the overall organization, administration and operations of the CSU Athletic Department.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the overall game day operations management to include ticketing, gameday operations, facility operations;
- Assisting with athletic facility management and upkeep of athletic facilities;
- Assisting with the set up and break down of athletic facilities and operations of home athletic events;
- Assisting with special event coverage hosted by CSU Athletics;
- Assisting with the management of game day personnel as assigned for home athletic events;
- Assisting with supervision and management of athletic department interns and/or student workers as assigned;
- Assisting with departmental projects or functions related to marketing, NCAA Compliance, CSU Athletic fundraising, and special projects;
- Attending departmental meetings and participating in athletic administrative strategy meetings when appropriate and/or assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field;
- Acceptance into a CSU graduate program;
- Knowledge and understanding of conference and NCAA rules and regulations;
- Leadership skills: a proven track record of consistently modeling positive behaviors at all times;
- Follow-through skills, as well as the ability to plan, organize, and control projects through to completion;
- Desire and ability to successfully recruit;
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information;
- Ability to work effectively in a multifaceted environment and community;
- Playing experience at a NCAA Division I, II, III and/or NAIA School preferred, not required.
Proposed Salary
The salary is a stipend plus tuition waiver.

Conditions of Employment
