Develop instructional materials and products and assist in the technology-based redesign of courses. Assist faculty in learning about, becoming proficient in, and applying instructional technology.

About the Department and/or College
The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Project Management: Performs project management duties to create course content; duties may include define the project scope, establish a timeline, allocate resources, identify stakeholders, develop a communication plan,establish quality assurance measures, monitoring progress, managing risks, managing project changes, and reviewing deliverables.
  • Best Practices: Guide subject matter experts in applying instructional design best practices.
  • Course Design: Guide subject matter experts in course design, including alignment of student learning outcomes, learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Course Development: Guide subject matter experts in curating and developing course content for online
    delivery.
  • Video Production: Coordinates and collaborates with subject matter experts and video team in pre- production (script writing, storyboarding, curating of video assets), production (recording sessions), and post-production (video editing) to produce videos.
  • Instructional Technology: Guide subject matter experts in learning about and applying instructional technology, including the university's LMS.
  • ADA Compliance: Guide subject matter experts through making their content compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Copyright Compliance: Guide subject matter experts to information and resources regarding the adherence of copyright and fair use laws.
  • Faculty Resources: Develop and maintain resources for the design, development and implementation of quality courses.
  • Course Reviews: Conduct and document course quality reviews using the established rubric and standards.
  • Professional Development: Stays versed in the latest practices, theories, innovations and technologies in the field of education and instructional design.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one year of related experience; or a combination of education and/or related experience to equal 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications
Two years of demonstrated relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Mass Media and Communications with 2-3 years of experience.

Pay Range
$48,000 - $63,700 - $78,400
