Anticipated Hiring Range: $75,000 annually

Position Summary

The Asset & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing asset tracking, inventory control, and property accountability for East Campus housing operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with policies, and effective management of furniture, appliances, equipment, and housing-related assets. The Coordinator works closely with the Facilities, Procurement, and auxiliary and campus departments to maintain operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive inventory records for all housing furniture, appliances, and equipment
  • Implement and manage asset tagging and tracking systems; monitor asset condition and lifecycle
  • Coordinate deliveries, installations and pickup of materials with vendors
  • Support budget planning by providing asset data and lifecycle projections
  • Ensure compliance with University and Auxiliary key control procedures
  • Operate key-cutting equipment, issue temporary or vendor access keys and ensure proper authorization and documentation
  • Maintain asset management software or tracking databases


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in facilities management, housing, accounting, building sciences, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in inventory control, asset management, property management, or related operations.
  • Experience within facilities may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the CSU Monterey Bay Vision Statement and the core values of mutual respect, collaboration and service orientation, multiculturalism and diversity, community service and institutional excellence
  • Experience working with a multicultural population; familiarity performing community service learning; and demonstrate technical literacy
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Yardi, inspection or work-order systems
