Position Description
Performs support and coordinative work in direct support of an administrative team of a specific administrative office or department. Coordinates and assists with functions such as planning, researching, budgeting and program implementation and evaluation. Performs responsible and complex office support duties, thus relieving the administrator of these duties. Work is performed under administrative supervision.

About the Department and/or College
Major/Essential Functions
The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at Texas Tech University is seeking a full-time Administrative Coordinator. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for covering the following essential duties:
- Serves as primary administrative support for CECE faculty
- Provides support on grant proposal submission at the departmental level in coordination with the Office of Research Services research administrators.
- Assist the department's business manager and principal investigators in hiring full-time researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate student assistants to work on sponsored projects.
- Review grant proposal guidelines, requirements, and due dates for proposal submission along with Research Services.
- Reviews funding regulations for awards and ensures spending complies with university, funding, and federal guidelines with grant specialists.
- Works with other departments, such as ORS and AS, to support timely and accurate budget invoicing on sponsored projects.
- Provide support services to principal investigators by maintaining timely research account ledgers and initiating cost transfers as needed.
- Coordinates special events related to research programs, including seminars, workshops, and promotional events.
- Processes department procurement card reconciliations and travel applications for assigned faculty
- Assist with general administrative support for the office as needed.
- Perform any other duties related to departmental and research activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year responsible experience. Additional specific job related experience may substitute for required education on a year for year basis.

Pay Range
$19.47 - $25.29 - $31.15
