This position is part of the Operations team that supports Career Services at the University of Colorado Boulder by managing and advancing the department's operational, data, and technology infrastructure for student, employer, and staff engagement. The role reports to the Career Technology Program Manager to ensure career platforms, workflows, and emerging tools are effectively implemented, documented, and continuously improved across the department. This role supports tasks, documentation, data support, and technology initiatives to ensure effective, equitable, and scalable solutions. Career Services
Career Services prepares CU Boulder students and alumni for their current and future goals by facilitating connections and raising student self-awareness to develop skills and communicate career readiness to employers. Our team leads a comprehensive career-focused infrastructure for campus, which includes career planning, programs, resources, access to professional experiences, and is responsible for on-campus student employment. Additionally, the department is an entry point for CU talent recruitment- cultivating employer partnerships and responding to workforce needs.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Career Services Virtual Event and Career Fair Support
- Coordinate virtual technology needs for virtual departmental networking engagements, which include managing event logistics and system configurations.
- Manage on-site event technology logistics, including login support and "no-show" resolution, while providing a high-quality experience for students and employers through proactive communication.
- Create Job Opening Lists for Career Services Career Fairs, in person and virtual, and ensure accurate information is available for Career Services staff to assist students in navigating options on-site at Career Fairs.
- Provide Career Fair and Event day-of technical support set up to ensure smooth execution of the registration process at large-scale fairs and provide real-time technology solutions.
- Prepare and test Career Services Fair computers, backup computers, and all check-in computer systems, maintaining all updates and allowing for a smooth registration process.
- Ensure proper technical setup for room layouts, audiovisual needs, and connectivity for department meetings, community workshops, and large-scale in-person events upon request.
- Collaborate with the Technology Program Manager to respond to department data requests and prepare required reports. Assist with general data clean-up, validation, collection, reporting, and maintaining accurate and reliable data regarding student engagement and career technology utilization required by the department and divisional standards.
- Conduct routine data audits to ensure standard operational procedures are followed, and data reporting is readily available across the Career Services department.
- Liaise with campus data support teams and working groups to drive data integrity and operational excellence across Career Services, providing high-level technical support to student- and employer-facing teams, resolving technical issues within Career Services platforms and operational workflows.
- Support the department's operational needs through the Career Services-supported technology tools and systems.
- Support the Technology Program Manager with administrative and operational tasks, including assisting with staff and student worker onboarding and offboarding in coordination with OIT; supporting technology inventory management; tracking and grouping department computers; and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assist with developing training materials and support resources, coordinating with technology vendors and campus partners, piloting AI and emerging tools, and supporting continuous skill development aligned with Career Services goals.
- Collaborate with office teams and the Technology Program Manger to curate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), confirming that all internal workflows are documented, accessible, and streamlined for operational consistency and institutional knowledge across Career Services.
- Attend weekly Career Services all-staff and team meetings.
- Attend and support "All Hands on Deck" events such as (but not limited to) campus career fairs, new student orientation, and on-campus student employment events.
- Attend occasional campus-level and liaison meetings.
- Support peak times for all staff support in the Division of Student Life.
- Given the changing nature of work and Career Services commitment to be adaptable, innovative, and resilient as the nature of work changes, staff will need to shift gears, jump in, and try new things, even when those things fall outside of a formal job description.

- This is a hybrid work opportunity requiring 3 days in the office per week.
What We Can Offer
- The salary for this position is $50,000-$55,000.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- Demonstrated experience working with data, including basic data entry, validation, cleanup, and reporting with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Experience supporting technology platforms, systems, or software applications, including troubleshooting basic user issues.
- Experience preparing reports or responding to data requests using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable reporting tools.
