The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Protein biochemistry, live-cell imaging, molecular biology, proteomics, RNA-seq, cell culture techniques, and mouse genetics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying hepatocyte polarization and bile canaliculi formation using a variety of experimental approaches, including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and both cell culture and animal models.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience.
