Assistant Professor - Biology
Job Summary
The Department of Biology in the College of Science at Northeastern University-NYC is seeking a Full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor with a 10-month appointment to teach in the Undergraduate Biology Major in The College of Science in-person at the Northeastern University-New York City Campus.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
This full-time position will include teaching three courses in Fall 2026 and three courses in Spring 2027. Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of undergraduate lecture and labs in the General Biology sequence, non-majors Biology and Society, and potentially other courses within the candidate's expertise.
Qualifications
Earned a doctorate in Biology or a related field.
Experience teaching undergraduate students in Biology.
Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds.

Expected Hiring Range:
$76,000 - $78,000
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change
