Position Information
University Extension is the continuing education division of University of California Riverside campus, offering over 80 certificate and credentialing programs to local and international students. Reporting to the Director of Professional Programs, the Academic Program Manager is responsible for developing new program concepts and managing an existing portfolio of certificate programs that fall under the Professional Programs scope. This position will function as an associate director for the existing Law and Justice program portfolio, serve as the subject matter expert for accreditation activities, and develop new curricula in this area of study. This position has primary responsibility for market research of programmatic need for the Academic Programs team. In addition to working closely with the Director of Professional Programs, this position will also work with other program developers including the Director of Program Development and the Associate Dean of Academic Programs/Director of Education Programs to research and/or implement strategic program opportunities.


Minimum Requirements
Advanced knowledge of accredited and/or certificate program instruction and delivery methodologies, the organization, market and business strategies.
Advanced analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Must possess business acumen and skill in working with individuals of all levels from various backgrounds.
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).


Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures; advanced knowledge of functional area and understands how work impacts other areas of public educational programs.

Advanced knowledge of the paralegal profession and education.
