About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting into Assistant Director - Graduate Admissions, the Part-time Application Processors supports all aspects of the application processing. Based in Boston, the position is part of a highly motivated professional team and plays an important role in converting applicants to new student enrollments. To effectively review and process an admission application for document completion, the individual will meticulously follow the documented application requirements and admissions protocols for the various undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs the university offers. The Part-time Application Processors will ensure that all applications materials received for the student through the application system and other modalities, including email/forms/snail mail, etc. are scanned, verified, and loaded to the applicant's record on established processing timeline, review for application completion based on admissions policy and application requirements and make appropriate notations in the system for follow-up and communication. Responsibilities will expand to performing quarterly maintenance such as; archiving applications, condition lifts, and carry forward applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Process applications accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
- Ensure efficient application review, flagging applicant errors, and following up on any discrepancies or missing documents required for application completion as per established application completion rules.
- Review new and existing applications for NUID resolution and assignment
- Coordinate the receipt of daily mail/document, scan, code appropriately, upload to our application system, document and update student records, and Manage application files to ensure they reflect accurate requirements
- Verify the authenticity of records received for student application files, identify unofficial documents for rejections if/when they are received, escalation for document authentication review as per established protocols
- Prepare and escalate applications for GPA recalculation and transfer credit evaluation
- Update application system and notify when applicants are ready for review
- Help facilitate acceptance materials to students & Support I-20 document verification and processing
- Assist in general admissions office email accounts or customer service case responses using CRM when necessary
- Facilitate outbound communication to the student/channel partners regarding decisions, enrollment confirmation, and next steps and be available to assist EM stakeholders with questions regarding application status
- Coordinate the archiving of student applicant records and perform quality assurance checks on archived documents
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Producing ad hoc data reports on applications for other departments within Enrollment Management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and customer service experience are required.
- Familiarity with one or more foreign education system(s) and proficiency in foreign language(s) desired.
- Experience working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- A demonstrated ability to multitask, work concurrently in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Part-time Application processors should treat all prospect records and information with confidentiality and for work purpose only on an as-needed basis
