Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Assistant to the Associate Vice Provost and Office Coordinator in the Academic Foundations - General Education department, which is part of the Center for Student Success.

The candidate would be expected to: provide direct support to the Associate Vice Provost for all departmental initiatives and programming; maintain Associate Vice Provost's calendar; arrange, schedule, and confirm meetings, travel schedules, and accommodations; assist with the maintenance of the departmental webpage and portal content; contribute to routine Academic Foundations activities that support full-time and part-time faculty (e.g., handbooks, new faculty orientations, support for faculty professional development).

Required Skills or Software:
Intermediate knowledge of MS Word 2013, Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel 2013, Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Required Years of Experience: 4

Other Requirements:
Excellent attendance and work record. Excellent writing skills. Must be able to instruct others in proper use of standard office equipment.

Able to work independently, be attentive to details, ensure the accuracy and quality of work, routinely follow up on a variety of issues. Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and perform several tasks simultaneously.

Able to supervise student workers. Flexible and able to respond effectively to changing circumstances. Willing to pursue training to develop/maintain skills, as required. Able to positively represent the department and the University to internal and external constituencies.

Able to deal tactfully with people. Able to understand oral and written instructions and information. Willing and able to work overtime as needed. Ability to respond in a professional manner when communicating with students, parents, and University personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Customer service experience.
