About the Opportunity:
The School of Nursing invites applications from highly-motivated candidates for a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure track faculty position as an Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Programs/Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Nursing commensurate with the candidate's qualifications. This position is a 52-week faculty appointment with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Programs for the School of Nursing has responsibility for the School's undergraduate, prelicensure academic programs in Massachusetts and in North Carolina. The Assistant Dean reports directly to the Dean, School of Nursing/Associate Dean, Bouve College of Health Sciences. The Assistant Dean is responsible for oversight of the undergraduate curriculum, regulatory compliance and quality improvement process for the undergraduate programs. The undergraduate/prelicensure Program Directors for Boston and regional campuses/sites report directly to the Assistant Dean. S/he approves the hiring of part-time didactic and clinical faculty, and oversees the evaluation process of faculty responsible for undergraduate education. The Assistant Dean maintains effective relations with healthcare agencies used for clinical affiliations in the undergraduate program. The Assistant Dean will also have responsibility for oversight of preceptor selection and clinical affiliation agreements for all undergraduate programs. The Assistant Dean will take the lead on program reviews and accreditation including but not limited to annual program evaluations. The Assistant Dean is integral to supporting and carrying out the strategic plan of the School and College in relation to profession and interprofessional initiatives, mentorship of faculty, faculty scholarship, and service.

Qualifications:
Qualifications require a degree in nursing and earned doctorate in nursing or related field by the start date of the appointment, eligibility for an unrestricted RN licensure in Massachusetts, proven teaching excellence in undergraduate nursing, and demonstrated excellence and commitment to supporting a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. The candidate should possess effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with proven leadership experience in a major academic setting; experience in preparation in teaching and learning principles including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
