Position Summary:
The Moscow Assistant Dean of Student Affairs (ADSA) is a full-time, fiscal year, instructor position. In coordination with the Boise ADSA, the Moscow ADSA assists in developing and administering the Colleges academic policies; advises students, both academically and personally; advises Student Bar Associations and law student organizations as needed; ensures that students are provided reasonable accommodations; and plans and implements orientation and ongoing professional development programming. This position serves law students on a daily basis by addressing student concerns and complaints and is an essential member of the College of Laws senior leadership team. This position is also expected to teach a 2-credit course, according to the needs of the College and at the direction of the dean.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in the legal profession, higher education, counseling, or human resources.
- Experience creating a safe, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state.
- Experience working in a higher education setting, such as student services, academic support, or counseling.
- Experience in budget management.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
