Assistant Director - Athletics Video Production

About the Opportunity

Summary:

The Assistant Director-Athletics Video Production will manage and implement day-to-day aspects of broadcast and post production for Northeastern Athletics. The Assistant Director will act as the second-in-command of the video production team and step in for the Associate Director as necessary. Relating to game day productions, the Assistant Director will aid in managing, hiring, training, and scheduling game day personnel for all broadcasts. The Assistant Director will be responsible for working with necessary parties to plan and execute all Northeastern Athletics broadcasts. Relating to post-production, the Assistant Director will assist in content creation as well as other feature videos for GoNU, the videoboard show, and the online streams. The Assistant Director of Video Production will report into the Associate Director of Athletics Video Production.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two to three years of experience required. Experience in the field of live production or sports video production. Experience with team management. Experience with non-linear video edition. Game day/Event operation experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with External parities: be the secondary contact for video production. Help to facilitate video needs with outside media agencies for live a taped events
Create and produce feature content for the Athletics Department to help promote and improve in-game atmosphere. This will include managing a staff of interns/students to assist in the creation of this content.
Manage pre/post production for live online broadcasts: scheduling and coordinating a student staff of work-study and volunteer employees. This content will also aid in the Matthews Arena video board entertainment.
Website maintenance: help to maintain the video portion of the website with new and up-to-date content
