Job Summary
The Rogel Cancer Center Blue Team Multidisciplinary Pancreatic Tumor Clinic has a team of specialists who treat patients with suspicion or diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, pancreas cysts, ampullary cancer, and bile duct cancer. Those patients with increased risk for pancreatic cancer are evaluated for surveillance with gastroenterologists and genetic specialists. The team consists of surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, genetic counselors, chemotherapy and surgical specialty nurses and dieticians.The Nurse coordinator reviews new referrals and works closely with the Intake coordinator to schedule patients with the appropriate physicians for consultation in a timely fashion. This includes calling new patients prior to the appts with the goal of preparing for a comprehensive visit to the clinic, developing timelines, care coordination, post new patient visits and assists with clinic RN responsiblities as needed.

Salary range for Registered Nurses- $65,840.24 - $104,150.85

    Duties:Provide focused, quality care to patients and families within specific clinical content areas. Work as a nurse member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a busy clinic setting. Assist with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as necessary. Provide patient and family education specific to systemic therapies such as chemotherapy and symptom management for on-treatment patients and follow-up patients. Works to create new tools and update current patients education materials for the clinic.     Required Qualifications*
    A current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.

    Required Educational Requirement; applicant must meet one of the following:

    Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR an Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing

    Two (2) or more years of recent ambulatory clinical oncology nursing experience.Recent experience with care coordination in the cancer patient population*NOTE: In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

    Desired Qualifications*
