PART-TIME LECTURER POSITIONS

The Department of Religious Studies at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions in Fall 2020, Winter 2021 and Spring 2021 quarters. Fall 2020 quarter begins September 28, 2020 and ends December 18, 2020. Winter 2021 quarter begins January 4, 2021 and ends March 19, 2021. Spring 2021 quarter begins March 24, 2021 and ends June 11, 2021.

Salary: $6263.93 per course (pending final budget approval).

Qualifications:

A completed M.A. preferably with PhD coursework or an Advancement to Doctoral candidacy (ABD) in Religious Studies, or in a related field with specialization in the Nonconfessional Study of Religion, Comparative Religions, Religions in the U.S., Biblical Studies and Theories in the Study of Religion. Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is required, a stated commitment to working with students from groups under-represented in the academy and the ability to teach in a remote teaching environment. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Religious Studies, or in a related field with specialization in the Nonconfessional Study of Religion; specialization in one or more of the topics to be taught; experience as instructor of record in higher education; experience working with students from groups under-represented in the academy.
