Working Hours: One regular, full-time, unrestricted, overtime exempt position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, at the San Elijo Campus. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation. The primary work location will be in the Student Center on the San Elijo Campus (SEC). The incumbent in this position may be required to work nights and weekends, depending on programmatic needs.

Basic Function and Other Details:
Under general supervision, will be responsible for student life, administer student conduct, facilitate student grievance and complaint process and be a liaison for other student services available to meet the needs of students at San Elijo Campus (SEC). Will be responsible for administering outreach and recruitment events.
1) Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day student services operations at the San Elijo Campus (SEC); manage the operational activities of the Student Center; act as Planning Coordinator and/or Alternate Incident Commander for the San Elijo Emergency Response Team. (E)
2) Oversee and administer student life at SEC; proactively assess and advocate for student support services at SEC; communicate college activities, policies, and administrative decisions to students, faculty, staff, and community members; refer students to community organizations and social service agencies for assistance as appropriate. (E)
3) Provide student leadership development training, student government advising, and student organization coordination; advise, train, counsel, and supervise a diverse group of student leaders; advise and guide faculty and staff advisors of recognized student organizations. (E)
4) Serve as the primary point of contact and responsible for student discipline and grievances at SEC. (E)
5) Facilitate conflict resolution for faculty, staff, students, and the community.
6) Conduct new student orientations.
7) Identify, develop, and implement studies and analysis of student services which are consistent with the mission of the College and which meet the evolving needs of the community and its students. (E)
8) Develop and provide in-service programs and activities to promote learning, awareness, communication and personal and professional growth. (E)
9) Advise students in the development, review, and enforcement of Associated Students documents, including policies and procedures.
10) Administer policies and procedures related to student services. (E)
11) Administer and implement co-curricular events for students, community, faculty and staff. (E)
12) Coordinate and provide workshops (transfer, student discipline, role of community colleges, etc.) for students, faculty, staff, and community members. (E)
13) Assist in selection, training and supervision of SEC Student Ambassadors and student workers. (E)
14) In cooperation with the Dean of the San Elijo Campus, provide leadership in marketing and student recruitment activities for SEC; represent the college in community groups, educational organizations, and other professional organizations; act on behalf of the Dean of the San Elijo Campus in his/her absence as it relates to any site administration duties. 15) Perform related duties as assigned.

2. One year of formal training, internship or leadership experience reasonably related to the director's assignment. (NOTE: For work experience, a "year" is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months, or at least 2,080 hours.)
1. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's degree and two (2) years of experience. 2. Demonstrated experience working in student life, student activities, student engagement, student involvement, student leadership and/or student government in a higher education setting. 3. Strong planning, organizational, facilitation, and rapport building skills. 4. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members.
Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California driver license.
