Job Summary
Serve as a key member of the IT Solutions Management team charting strategic direction and acting as a change agent driving development and implementation of programs that support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational and strategic planning efforts for all areas within department including professional development of staff and process improvements
- Understand business priorities, rationalize demand and communicate priorities to ensure technology staff are working on highest value activities while fostering innovation
- Develop, implement and maintain the project management methodology utilized for IT Services that best supports the project portfolio for a timely and on-budget delivery of project implementations.
- Collaborate to develop and execute a project management and communication strategy, including stakeholder analysis, ongoing communications and adoption plans
- Conducts quality assurance audits in support of a project portfolio quality plan, including project post mortem assessments and suggest improvements in processes and procedures
- Direct, motivate, and champion continuous improvement activities to ensure maturity levels continue to be achieved
- Drive strategy and facilitate further adoption for IT Change Management and Incident Response while serving as Change Manager for the division of ITS
- Benchmark with other Industry Leaders to measure effectiveness and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Five (5) or more years of related work experience
- Ability to obtain a PMP certification within one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
Preferred Experience
- Ten (10) or more years of related work experience
- PMP Certification
- Experience in vendor relationship, resource and project management, and financial and budget planning
- Customer relationship management in a higher education environment
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a fast-paced tech environment
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with Experience
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.

- Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
- Ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to articulate strategy and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
KNOWLEDGE
- Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
- Familiarity with privacy and protection of sensitive data (i.e., FERPA, HIPAA)
- Understanding of and familiarity with information technology and related trends and experience managing technology-related projects
- An understanding of how to partner with key stakeholders internal and external to division of IT to drive business process improvement
