Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced research specialist who is energetic, enthusiastic, and enjoys collaborative and independent science to join our team of vision scientists.

Responsibilities*
- Molecular biology experiments (PCR, cloning)- Cell culture techniques (maintaining established lines, starting new cell lines for the lab, transfection experiments)- Running enzyme assays and ELISAs- Preparation of biological and chemical reagents.- Handling and managing animals (mice and rats, isolating tissues, sectioning, ISH and IHC).

Required Qualifications*
- Highly motivated, detail oriented, responsible individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.- Bachelor's degree or higher in biological science. - Ability to work and troubleshoot independently. - Previous molecular biology experience- Previous cell biology experience- Minimum of 5 years previous research experience.

Desired Qualifications*
Previous experience in biochemistry and protein assaysComfortable with using research models including transgenic animals
