ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Field Supervisor reports to the Field Experience Coordinator. The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
(a) review the expectations, policies, and procedures for the field experience;
(b) explain SCU's expectations for the cooperating teacher;
(c) discuss the field supervisor's role in the process of support, evaluation and interaction throughout the year; and
(d) cover all items on the list of discussion topics provided at the field supervisors' orientation meeting in August/September

QUALIFICATIONS

All field supervisors must have: a) current knowledge of the content; b) knowledge of the current context of public schooling including the California adopted P-12 content standards, frameworks, and accountability systems; c) knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation; and d) demonstration of effective professional practices in teaching and learning, scholarship, and service.
