Job Description
This is a part time county funded position. This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon the continued funding of the grant. The 4-H Youth Development Program Assistant II is responsible to the County Extension Director and works under the direction of the lead 4-H Youth Development Agent to implement approved educational programs in group settings to youth audiences in the area of 4-H Youth Development. This position will assist with conducting educational programs and maintaining program records. This position will plan, execute and evaluate 4-H educational programs under the direction of the 4-H Youth Development Agent and the County Director.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with community and state-level partners to implement specific program components of 4-H Youth Development Program.
  • Assist in the delivery and maintenance of the 4-H Youth Development Program in the county.
  • Maintain and grow positive partnerships with local organizations, vendors, agencies, and general public in support of the 4-H Youth Development Program
  • Assist with community needs assessments and evaluation requirements as needed.
  • Responsible for teaching educational programs to youth, 3rd-12th grades, and adults regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Be responsible for up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Word Perfect

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Two to three years of related experience desired
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • Teaching experience
